Ember & Oak is a fictional restaurant. This website is a working demonstration of the Cheviot Web Studio ordering platform. Anything you type here is test data: no food is prepared, nothing is delivered and no payment is taken.
Who is responsible for your data
The demonstration is operated by Cheviot Web Studio, Scottish Borders. Questions: hello@cheviotwebstudio.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Test orders — the name, phone number, optional e-mail, address and notes you enter at checkout are stored so the order can appear on the demo Order Hub and the tracking page. Please use made-up details.
- Order history on your device — kept in your browser only, so you can find a previous test order. Clearing site data removes it.
- Reviews and loyalty stamps — stored against the phone number you entered, to show those features working.
Who processes it for us
The site and its database run on Cloudflare (Pages and D1). No e-mail, card payment or push-notification services are connected to this demonstration.
How long we keep it
Test data is wiped whenever the demonstration is reset, usually before each presentation and in any case within 30 days.
Cookies and storage on your device
The ordering page uses browser storage for your basket, order history and the optional installed-app shortcut. The Order Hub sets one session cookie for staff sign-in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any test data you entered by e-mailing the address above. Because the data is deleted on every reset, the simplest route is to wait for the next one.
